MLS ChipCorder

The Nuvoton MLS ChipCorder Series is a collection of high-quality, fully integrated, single-chip record/playback solutions designed for messaging applications ranging from 6 seconds up to 16 minutes. These solutions are ideal for real-time recording through microphones or analog input in portable devices. The MLS series can operate in either standalone or microcontroller mode (SPI, I²C) and is equipped with a proprietary message management system for self-managing address locations for multiple messages, providing enhanced messaging flexibility. Key features of the MLS ChipCorder series include an on-chip oscillator with external resistor control, a microphone preamplifier with Automatic Gain Control (AGC), an auxiliary analog input, an anti-aliasing filter, a Multi-Level Storage (MLS) array, a smoothing filter, volume control, Class D/AB speaker driver, and current/voltage output. These devices store recordings in on-chip Flash memory cells, ensuring zero-power message storage. Nuvoton's patented multilevel storage technology allows voice and audio signals to be directly stored onto the memory array in their natural form, resulting in high-quality voice reproduction.
