Description

Product Description

 

KA44169A is a high efficiency single phase motor driver IC with built-in Soft Switching function for low noise operation. The soft switching period is automatically adjusted based on the motor current. This eliminates the need for individual adjustment of the soft switching period based on the Motor’s specifications. It also has PWM input pin which can be used to set the speed of the motor connected. It is available in TSSOP 14L package which is having a height of only 0.9mm making it suitable for small form factor appliance and applications. It can work for appliances running on 12V/24V voltage rating and with Ron of 1.6Ohms, it can be very efficient in operating conditions. It comes with a complete set of protections like Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLO), Over Voltage Lock Out (OVLO), Thermal protection and a Current limit Protection which adjustable by connecting an external resistor thus customizing the driver to the need.

The motor speed is controlled by direct PWM input. With a wide input voltage range of 12V/24V, this IC is most suitable for usage in home appliances, office automation and factory automation equipment.

TSSOP 14L: it is a 14 lead package which is TSSOP (Thin Shrink Small Outline Package), it can be easily soldered with basic BGA machine and it is easy to debug as well with better accessibility to the pins to take measurements
