M23 Industrial Control

The NuMicro M251/M252 Series Microcontroller is a low-power, 5V microcontroller designed for industrial control applications. It is built on the Arm Cortex-M23 secure core for Armv8-M architecture and runs at up to 48 MHz with up to 256 KB Flash and 32 KB SRAM. This microcontroller provides five power modes and three secure protect mechanisms to meet the power consumption requirements of sensor nodes in IIoT applications. It is available in a wide range of packages, making it suitable for various applications such as Smart Home, Industrial Control, Smart City, IoT Device, Security Alarm System, Electronic Payments, Communication Modules, and many more. The series offers excellent low-power performance, with a wide supply voltage range of 1.75V to 5.5V, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It also features Nuvoton's patented Programmable Serial I/O (PSIO), which simplifies the implementation of various proprietary and standard serial interfaces. The NuMicro M251/M252 Series' powerful interfaces allow it to support multiple external components, including Voltage Adjustable Interface (VAI), External Bus Interface (EBI), Universal Serial Control Interface (USCI), QSPI, SPI/I²S, I2C, Smart Card Interface (ISO-7816-3, Watchdog timer), RTC, and up to 24 channels of PWM. Additionally, it incorporates multiple high-performance analog features, such as a 16-channel 12-bit 880 kSPS SAR ADC, an Operational Amplifier (OPA), a built-in 5-level internal voltage reference, a 12-bit 1 MSPS voltage-type DAC, and two rail-to-rail analog comparators (ACMP). To ensure the security of customer's intellectual property, the series offers various protection mechanisms, including flash lock bits, eXecute-Only-Memory (XOM), Memory Protection Unit (MPU), and Tamper detection pin. It also supports 96-bit UID (Unique Identification) and 128-bit UCID (Unique Customer Identification). Nuvoton provides a wide range of development tools to support product design, including Nu-Link and Nu-Link-2-Pro debuggers, Third-Party IDEs (Arm Keil MDK, IAR EWARM, and NuEclipse IDE with GNU GCC compilers), and the NuTool-Code-Generator for automated code generation.
